The comprehensive training program for Classroom Management and Behavior Management for elementary teachers.
THIS ISN'T "JUST ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM" ...
The Heart-Centered Management Method is a system for creating a nurturing and supportive space for you and for your students.
This program provides everything you need to give students healthy ways to engage with one another and build relationships.
Thanks to this method, students will be equipped to handle academic and social challenges because they will have the space to talk about feelings and work through emotions and conflict daily. You shift into the role of facilitator, freeing up time in your day to breathe!
Students will be ready to learn and collaborate through a mix of explicit instruction in social emotional learning and on-the-spot reinforcement of these skills. They will be able to problem-solve on their own, leaving you with the space you need to focus on instruction.
Most importantly, this program will help students prepare to tackle any changes that may come their way. They will work together to generate solutions that work for the entire classroom community, leading to an enjoyable environment for everyone.

How does Heart-Centered Behavior Management work with Heart-Centered Classroom Management?
Your HCCM (Heart-Centered Classroom Management) is what you do with your entire group/whole class. It is the foundation you set, how you connect with your class, how you reward your class, and how you facilitate repairs with your class. Your classroom management system is everything YOU do to manage your group of students. This is our outermost tier in the graphic shown above.
Your HCBM (Heart-Centered Behavior Management) is a much deeper and intricate approach to specific behaviors taking place in your classroom. HCBM helps you build a teacher toolkit of ideas and strategies surrounding behavior through a deep study of our perception of behavior (reflect) and the building of regulation skills (regulate) and coping skills (cope). This is our innermost tier in the graphic shown above.
Hi, I’m Andriana!
I'm an elementary-school teacher and the Heart-Centered Classroom founder!
I’m the teacher blogger and creator behind The Active Educator, a platform designed to offer educators with meaningful management practices through movement-based learning and social-emotional development.
I will coach you through The Heart-Centered Method where you will learn how to build a connected community, lead with empathy when it comes to student behaviors, and reflect on your teaching practices.
This method has transformed the relationships I have with my students and I have grown more as an educator (and person) than I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to guide you through creating your dream classroom community, so you can enjoy your teaching days once again!
When you become a Heart-Centered Teacher, you’re doing so much more than “fixing problematic behavior” or teaching SEL skills.
You're giving students a common language around community, behavior, relationships, and social emotional learning, which will restore the peace in your classroom and reignite your joy for teaching.
